Density & Buoyancy: How To Make Sinking Objects Float
Making Sinking Objects Float.
An object sinks or floats in water depending on its density relative to that of water. When an object is denser than water it sinks. When it is lighter than water, it floats.
Density is derived by dividing mass with volume
Density = Mass/Volume
By increasing the volume of an object, its density will decrease.
In this presentation, we show you
a) how to make plasticine float
b) how to make marbles float
c) how to make eggs float
You will also learn why a can of coca cola sinks but a can of diet coke floats. Science is fun!
