In the end, musicians make music for themselves. Same as painters, writers, etc.... It's the same "daemon" that Socrates mentioned in regard to philosophy. An inner urge that none us can really understand, only follow. Many congratulations for your fantastic new work, and I am looking forward to learn anything about music from you on Tonebase. Even though I am not a classical musician, everything good I learned about music, comes from the classical school. Still the best one!

And DEFINITELY writing in the baroque style is a MAJOR and AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL thing to do. Only small minded people will see baroque music as if it were a fashion. The best things are the most lasting ones. I wish I could do it too, but as Schopenhauer wrote, to our talents.".
