Matt Johnson, RavenDB Contributor
-------------------
In this session, Matt will show you how date and time data is treated in RavenDB documents, in range queries, and in map/reduce indexes. You will learn how to address the issue of time zones, which can be very important in today's modern, interconnected, global applications. We will also cover how RavenDB can be used in conjunction with Noda Time, an open - source project that offers a much better date and time API than the one that comes with the.NET Framework.

This was a great presentation. Our app has to track service calls that happen across the country. I've been using DateTimeOffset for all time entries relative to the time zone stored for each location. I'm going to check out NodaTime and Matt's integration to see if it will simply the management of time handling in our app.

I definitely see this being useful for reporting since daily reports are based on the date at that location, not necessarily the user running the report.
