Car Park Drifting Is Tough! - Parking Garage Rally

I take a look at Parking Garage Rally, a game in which you have to drift and time trial your way around a car park. Its surprisingly addictive and reminds me in some ways of trackmania.

I like the "drift boosts increase your max speed" mechanic. I always found it rather weird when the boosts were just a temporary boost of speed followed by sudden deceleration

Sega Saturn graphics, right down to the dithering.

I love the retro graphics. One of my favorite racing games is a rally arcade machine game (Neo Geo SNK)

I love these graphics. It reminds me of early PlayStation games.

Edit: Saw someone else mention Saturn, and yeah. It's even closer to that. PlayStation had weird texture warping.

I love how I learned about this game when it was still in early development and now that it is actually done it looks amazing. Huge congrats to the developer!

You might not remember this game. But it reminds me of the daredevil game with the compact cars

Somehow the visual style reminded me of Rally-Sport from '96.

Looks neat, and the artstyle makes me want to see emulator upscaling... emulation? Being able to smooth things over to give that weirdly charming blobby look you can get sometimes. (Try doing xBR on an SNES game, you'll get what I mean.)

I don't understand putting this style of graphics in a brand new game. Is it just nostalgia? But at least make an effort to make it look a bit better, and not like it's a straight Commodore port to PC. It just looks like shit. Totally puts me off. The amount of pixellation is ridiculous. I wouldn't even stop scrolling in the Steam store.
