South Hampton Roads Regional Task Force on Ending Homelessness

Formed in 2005, the South Hampton Roads Regional Task Force on Ending Homelessness is a collaboration between the cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach; Isle of Wight County; Southampton County; The Planning Council and other nonprofits. The partnership was formed to provide a forum for communicating, sharing ideas and developing regional strategies to address homelessness. Through regional cooperation, the task force has developed real solutions to make homelessness rare, brief and nonrecurring that each locality would not have been able to achieve on its own.
