Odin 2 rocks in power, but damn that Odin mini that comes out for pre-order in may looks so sweet!

Uninstall the launcher on the RG556 and then use a button swapper to map it to whichever frontend you wish. I have mine set to ES-DE and have used AnyHome to make it launch instantly also. I think for £121 (with case included) the RG556 has a wide ability (up to 3DS and Vita at x2 resolution) compared to paying £400 for the Odin 2... nearly a quarter of the price, with MAME through to Wii/3DS/Vita ability is madness.

Do you think the issue with all of the hardware is specific to the black model you have? Most people tested with the blue one.

I bought the Anbernic RG405V and was regretting it due to all the bugs the software hat.I had to flash Gamma OS to it just to bring it to my standard somewhat.Also had the RG353V and as soon as i took it out of the box, the screen poped of.Luckily all I had to do was push it really hard back into place.Recently I was undecided between the 556 and rp4pro but due to my past experiences with anbernic, I bought the rp4pro and I am very happy with it

Jeez man, you absolutely hate this thing eh! I got mine yesterday and so far absolutely love it! Sure, it probably doesn't compare to the Odin, but I got this for £160 in the UK and the Odin 2 was £400 second hand, so is obviously a more premium device. Kinda apples and oranges situation really. You can map the stock front end button to whatever you want with ease. I'll see how the rest of it pans out, but so far it seems decent enough to me

I completely agree with you regarding the Odin 2. I purchased my Odin 2 back in February of this year and haven't regretted it at all. I appreciate your videos as they're super informative! Much love from a fellow Canuck!

Genuine question. I am looking to buy a handheld and the comments keep on comparing RG556 to Odin2. I thought Odin2 is twice the price of RG556.. am I missing something?

I would hope this isn’t as good as the Odin 1 Pro which was almost 2X the $ when it came out. I agree it’s not an Odin. I use this over my RP4Pro, that device was a pure disappointment. I think we knew what we were getting when we bought this. Maybe it’s because I replaced a lot of stuff including Anbernics garbage hall sticks they always use. Agree or disagree this is a great review. Keep them coming
