This month, James Sandford and Barnaby Robertson-Hurst will teach you about HashiCorp Vault! Frodo once said “all right then, keep your secrets” – well, we are going to answer where, how and why. Starting with, what is a secret? Namely, anything you and/or your application would like to hide while being able to easily and safely access!

Similarly to CyberArk, AWS and GCP Secrets Mangers or Azure Key Vault - HashiCorp Vault can provide you with the way to achieve that and more!

This month, after a short introduction we will cover:

1. Authentication with Vault
2. Using Vault to login into RabbitMQ
3. Sending chat messages between terminals

This session is suitable for folks who have no previous experience with Vault or any other Secrets Managing product. Some coding experience will help you but don’t let that stop you if you are new to programming/DevOps as we will be there to help you every step of the way!
