Same here in the uk. No cups that match, not a huge amount of bedding and towels were either gifted by family or I did invest in the odd 1 or 2. But my little uns are loved and happy. Stuff comes and goes, family are what matters!

You’re definitely my kind of person. Why buy/replace what’s still good, right? If I know we will be needing to replace something, I make note, squirrel $$ away each week, and watch for a sale. I keep a list of things that will need replacing soon. This has served our family well. Thrift stores are also an awesome resource as is facebook marketplace.
