Hey folks, this is sameer and in today’s video I am going to how you a step by step guide to unlock the boot loader of Poco f1 and how to install twrp recovery. Now this is the simplest method that you can follow in order to unlock the bootloader of poco f1 and the best thing is that if you follow this method correctly you can unlock your bootloader in just 5 minutes and you also don’t have to wait for the permission.

So, don’t skip the steps and watch it till the end. So now without any further ado let start.

Now before we get started make sure your device is almost 60 % charged and you should also backup all your data as it will erase all the data from your device internal storage.

i faced two issues, its really just dumb of me but i'll share it here incase others are stuck as well,

1. it cannot copy the item because the device has either stopped responding or it has been disconnected.
- basically there is an option under the notification bar on your poco phone there is this USB connection notification that allows you to change the settings of the type of connection, change it from USB charging this device to transfer files and you shld be able to drop the files into the internal storage


2. create a single folder and just dump all the downloaded files into the file TWRP files no extract
SDK Tools extract, follow the steps in the video, do not create individual folders and group them seperately into eg. twrp file or sdk and save the respective downloads into the seperate folder names, just lump them together. For my case, in the powershell window, i had to type ./fastboot devices with the key here being the ./ to enable the command lines to work it has to be infront of fastboot, if you type fastboot itself it's not going to work i dont know why.

yeap thats basically the two problems i faced, pretty dumb but hopefully it'll help someone!

You forgot to mention that we have to wait for 72 hours or 3 days before we can actually unlock our device using the Mi Unlock.

U are going too fast towards the end.. I tried and twrp was installed when I rebooted my device and went back to recovery, i found stock recovery again, whats happening

hey, i have a problem with twrp, i cannot see any of my internal storage's files on twrp, they are visible on pc with mtp. i tried format data and reboot still nothing.

Tips if you're stuck:

1) Disable any PIN/fingerprint before you start
2) You can load up the DisableForceEncryption (and the latest Magisk, it just comes in handy) zip files into an actual physical SD card before you start
4) If the first thing you see in TWRP is a password prompt, go cancel and go to the main menu. From the main menu go wipe data as seen in the video. This will clear up the encryption for now.
5) If you flashed the fixed TWRP image you should be able to see your flashable zip files inside the SD card (install zip > select storage). Flash those zip files.
