Metsovo is a town in northern Greece, in the mountains of Pindus at an altitude of 1,160m. It has 3,000 inhabitants. Its economy is dominated by agriculture, animal husbandry and tourism, the latter of which flourishes in winter. There are two organized ski resorts.

George Frideric Handel (1685-1759) was a great German composer, known for his operas, concertos, and oratorios (church music). One of his most famous compositions is "Sarabande in D Minor". "Sarabande" means "slow dance". This song was my first effort to create a remake of a classical work, using both ambient and chillout elements.

Metsovo looks a really interesting place to visit. It is exactly to sort of traditional looking location that I would seek to add to a trip to this area. There do look to be a wealth of more authentic appearing places worth a stop in northern Greece.
