Richard Gere on his latest film Maybe I Do and returning to work

Richard Gere, who's known for hit romcoms including Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride, hasn't done a film since 2017.
Speaking to Sky News' Claire Gregory, the star was candid about how strange it was returning to set.

I'm devastated! I just watched a YouTube that says he passed away 12/4/24. And funeral in L A. 12/6/24. I had no idea that he was sick. Said he had lung cancer from smoking. Chemo and radiation in 2023, but I've never heard anything about it til now. I so hope it's not true as he had just moved to Spain. 😢
