I love this film. Peter Falk is so great and worth watching it just for his performance but hopefully one will appreciate the whole. It's very sad that more people cannot watch films like Wings of Desire. By today's diminishing standards it is "slow" but I see it as a beautiful visual poem. There is no contrived drama or a villian to be defeated. Just as similar to another magnificent Wim Wenders film Paris, Texis. These films altered my view of what films can be, something greater and grander.

I love the juxtaposition of Falk’s poetry with the workers self referential joke about Columba.

it´s the anhalter bahnhof in berlin. the area looks completely different now but the bombed wall of the station is still there.

A Woman Under the Influence is my favorite film of all time and I also LOVE Wings of Desire and Husbands. He was a great actor.
