In this video series I perform all the repairs I found were needed in the evaluation of the 1965 Martin 000-18. I start with prepping for the neck reset which involves measuring the top under string tension and separating the fretboard extension.

that is a slow process every time Dane but you got the right tools for it.

As always- thinking two steps ahead (and three ahead of me!) Good work Dane. Easy does it as you get near to the dovetail, at that spot it's the top separating away from the finger board rather than the other way around at the soundhole end of the 'board? That StewMac tool- 12 thou'? that's really easy to buckle and kink.
