I bought the album at age 18. Now at age 58, it's still impeccable. Damn.

This is a "desert island" album for me. I remember running from my last class as a junior in 1977 to the park lot to get in my car. The local radio station had advertised that they were going to play this album in it's entirety commercial free at 12 noon. I had worn out my cassette of "Tales of Mystery" and was really excited about the next release. Remember kids, downloading wouldn't exist for another 22 years or so, the radio was IT. I Robot did not disappoint then nor does it today 42 years later. I have owned every iteration of this recording - cassette, vinyl, Mobile Fidelity vinyl, CD and the gem of my collection, a UHQR vinyl disc (look it up). AP crafts his albums and polishes them until they glow. Other AP albums have had mixed content but the unarguable quality about each of them is the excellent production. Depth, balance, imagery, lyrics, melody - it's all there in this work. Like the other reviewer said, ya haven't heard it until you hear it through headphones or a true hi-fidelity setup. AP tribute concluded.

Headphones 🎧 are required for this song to capture the finer subtle details.

Driving from L.A to Vegas in 1982 . 2.00 am Lit up high and a full moon and listening to this cassette tape on a July night....WOW this still hits home. Trip started in Chicago in a 1974 Camaro no A/C.

This album is one of the best of the 70's for me . We can hear some disco, some prog, some funk, some rock, it's fantastic.

I can’t believe how old this song is! It is so good! My dad was the one that introduced me to this band and I love their music!!

Alan Parsons was one of the engineers on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Like that Album, this one stands the test of time.

In my friend's basement with a few other guys I didn't really know over 40 years ago, completely upside-down on Hawaiian Wowee, my friend had these unbelievable tower speakers, they played this and the first two minutes I thought I'd left the planet. Those first 120 seconds are absolutely flawless.

I recall playing this on College Radio in 1979 - it really gets into your head. Alan Parsons is a musical genius..

40 years later and it still plays well. I remember, coming home from work, showering, rolled a doobie, headphones. What could be better?

Towards the end of this piece John Leach provides Cimbalom and Kantele. The Cimbalom is a dulcimer from Hungary and the Kantele is a zither from Finland (which comes in different sizes with varying amounts of strings). The Cimbalom a staple of music from the Roma people of Hungary and the Kantele a staple of Finnish folk music.

Much as I love ALL of Alan Parsons works, my own personal favourite is Tales of Mystery and true work of art!....👌👌👌
