Australian Immigration News 29th July 23. 8 Years wait for the 309 Partner Visa! + more
Показать описание
According to the department's website page for the 309 Partner visa, processing times have blown out to a staggering 96 months, 8 years!
The Immigration Department's response demonstrated no compassion or understanding of what partner visa applicants are going through;
"Published global processing times reflect the age of applications finalised in June 2023. When the Department focuses efforts on finalising older applications, processing times reflected on the website can temporarily increase.
Processing times at the 90th percentile for the subclass 309 in June 2023 do not reflect processing times for new applications.
Small volumes of older applications finalised during a single month can have a disproportionate impact on published processing times, particularly in categories with lower overall finalisations.
There will continue to be some variability in processing times from month to month as the Department works through the visa backlog.
The median processing time for first stage Partner (subclasses 309 and 820) at the 50th percentile (median) has gradually improved over recent months.
In November 2022 it was 9 months, this reduced to 8 months by January 2023 and improved to 5 months in June 2023."
