This is a throwback for sure. Let me know what you think about the VAIO S (2018). I like its build and looks. It is thin and light and easy to carry around town. Battery life is mediocre and there is no USB-C port. But performance is very good. The display is also great and I love the fact that it has a matte non-glossy display. Let me know what you think.

It may be traditional but Vaio has proved to be durable making it worth your money. I had mine for 9 years now and still is presently working very well. The specs may be not as high end as other laptops but I know a Vaio will last long with you.

Great detailed review as always, thanks to you I think that I will buy Vaio S, been with Vaio for 14 years and they have never failed me, too bad for the usb-c but you have converters from usb-a to usb-c for 1 dollar so this is not the problem, you forgot to mention one important detail, that this laptop is made in Japan & this is a very good value for the money, cheers!

I would buy it just for its keyboard layout! Other manufacturers don't make it anymore so functional

There are very minor cosmetic differences between this new Vaio S and the old Vaio PRO and Vaio S ... just before they were sold off. I think it's great they are keeping true to continuing the vision and design language that Sony intended for these laptops. I just wish that after all these years they could figure out a way to fold the screen farther back like on the Sony Vaio X or even completely flat.

Does this company provide manuals for the laptop? Can't find any user manual on the laptop or on their website. Would like to know how to use function keys, reset battery, etc. No information that I can find?

While I know that USB.C is a new "industry standard"? I don't see how a laptop not having it is a have USB-to-USB.C cables out there this laptop has USB ports all over it! Its not such a bad this day and age of buying a "litebook" with only ONE or TWO ports on it! I would recommend this over ANYTHING currently available from Apple, !! Thanks for the vid!! Keep up the great work!!...

I'm a spoiled brat! Want touch, pen function, and yoga style flexibility along with great battery life. So far I have seen plenty of laptops that have the first three items on my wish list. Still looking for killer battery life. I think, what I want hasn't yet been made?
