I'm an English Professor.... I can relate myself personally with this.... The first Writer in English Literature, Geoffrey Chaucer wrote his very first Work in English language which is The Canterbury Tales.... All Literary people are familiar with this Work of Art.... Such a nice place.... Love to visit these places someday.... Lots of love❤❤❤❤❤

I lived in Canterbury for two years (2001-2002) doing my masters' degree. It's was such a lovely, boring little town. The place was quiet, most time of the year; it had just one single shopping street back then. But the summer was lovely and I used to enjoy walking from the university campus (University of Kent) to the city centre for shopping.

Sad isn’t it, when we Americans view these amazing European towns. No paper, bottles, cans etc. littering these streets. We Americans always talk about pride of country etc . Yet we are not showing it in the right way. It’s time to wake up to the impression we make to the rest of the world. These people know real pride and respect for their country !! I visited Canterbury ( 2017 or 2018) with my French school and I like this city. This energy is so cool with old and new ambiance.
