The British Ella Purnell plays the "best" American troublemaking teenage girl in Yellowjackets. Her character "Jackie", is both believable and original. Jackie's fatalism adds depth to the role -- which keeps audiences engaged in her from one episode to the next. Yellowjackets is "Lord of the Flies meets Alive", and Ella Purnell brings Jackie to life in a way that no other actress could. Interestingly, Ella was born in June of 1996, which would be close to the time that her character Ella would have been trapped in the wilderness.
