Drain Fly Larvae Slithering in Blender

Came back from a vacation and thought "I don't remember putting any rice in my blender," only to discover that it was an infestation of drain fly larvae (psychodidae) colonizing in said blender in my kitchen sink. Long story short: it was pretty disgusting.

Ten gallons of book binding solution and a match.

You might want to stand back because the explosion gets pretty big.

Well if you leave a dirty blender in the sink inside a hot ass apartment or house, you will find this mess. Flies and Gnats will lay eggs and they turn into maggots. It happened to me when I left my house for a weekend.

🤢 There were these thing in my nutribullet blender after I left it near the sink once...although I cleaned it I don’t know if I’ll be able to use it again. Like it wasn’t in the cup thingy where the food I blend is but in the motor part. Still I felt like throwing up the entire time. I wish I could’ve set the whole thing on fire man.
