Oh my goodness. I thought this was one of the hardest songs to play in the world but you showed me it’s not. Now I went from playing fur Elise to this masterpiece. I cannot express how grateful I am for this tutorial. Thank you much! Even watching this video is better then my piano teacher. You have got to be the best piano teacher on YouTube.

I started learning this in March 2024. It's now October 2024. It took me 8 months to learn this song. 30 min a day, 5 days a week, Mon-Fri. For those who were wondering what the average time frame would look like to learn the whole thing.

Here I am at the end. I can now play the full song thanks to this tutorial. Little at a time, but I made it. Thank you for making this!

I can't tell you how grateful I am for this tutorial. I'm 65 and a complete beginner, can't afford lessons, so this is a challenge but I'm determined to learn this fabulous rag. So far I'm a third of the way through and feeling fantastic! Thank you so much.

I am a complete beginner, and have had zero formal training in piano and can't read music, and I would never have dreamed to ever be able to play piano to any degree, but with the help of your incredible videos, I have learned how to play both Maple Leaf Rag and the Entertainer. I can't thank you enough PianoSecrets, you are THE best piano teacher on Youtube!

Another rag piece that really gets me tapping is Duke Ellington's Soda Fountain Rag, I really love its bluesy/jazzy vibe and it could be a really fun one to break down. Just a suggestion, thank you and keep the awesome videos coming! Can't wait to learn more.

This is by far one of the bests piano tutorials on YouTube, you don’t just explain how to play each note accordingly but also give an in-depth explanation of each note in a chord. Could you check out another piece by Scott Joplin, Fig leaf rag? It would be great if you did! Keep up the good work!

I owe you a massive thanks. When I first listened to this at 12 year old, I would never have dreamed of being able to play it 15 years later

This is the best tutorial I've ever seen. No one else bothers to teach about the theory behind things (at least so extenstively), and therefore you're learning songs in a vaccuum. Here learning songs actually helps you build your skill and knowledge base. I cannot praise it enough. Thank you

Finally in the last quarter of the song: the conclusion.
Thankyou very much for teaching the whole song!!

Thank you piano secrets! I learned this a year and a half ago! I play for 3 years now, but learning it that far back was stressful, but you helped me put in the work and strength for me to be able to play it. Though i improvised a bit so i could actually play it then, i still often come back to see if i still got it! I started a phase where i can play something a million times and not get tired. It's this! Man you are awesome. keep up good work :D have a good day

No words can explain how grateful I am for this tutorial. Both an expert teacher and an inspiration to look up to.
It would be great to learn with you other rag masterpieces like 12th street rag or cafe society rag (no tutorials yet on YT).
Thank you!

With your help I learned Maple Leaf Rag, Claire de Lune, Turkish March, The Entertainer and Arabesque No. 1 after I haven’t played the piano for 30 years. Thank you so much! Your videos are great - what about additionally showing the corresponding measures of the score somewhere in the background?
