Amazing. You can take your chops off the mouthpiece but there is still sound coming out of the trumpet. Even Maynard couldn’t do that.

I’ve never seen someone that can keep playing even after taking their chops off the mouthpiece. Pretty impressive.

love how the audio changes when he cant play the high notes, because he isnt playing them. i looked at the lips, when he was playing vs when he wasnt and you can tell the difference

*struggles to hold a B above the double C but nails the G jump to triple A perfectly*

I advise all my students to get their trumpets valves aligned and the horn blueprinted. By doing this it removes the need to use alternate fingerings for notes above high C

Did you know that you can play high g in any valve combinations

I'm not going to question whether you played it yourself or not but you could work on your editing skill say the least. There is a visible cut at 0:26 right before the long section starts. Then at 0:44 the sound "color" changes completely, as if suddenly recording quality changed (the backing track stays the same though, which is strange). And then at around 0:51 at the end of high A hold, you take your trumpet off of your lips good half a second before that G is actually finished. I've also never seen high A played with first valve but I guess playing that high one can take few liberties to make things sound in pitch.

I also own the Bach Commerical 1B in the lacquer and bronze. I'm curious what the specs are on your mouthpiece.

At times it seems you are sharp but I believe it is the result of the microphone system such as a silent brass device. I know when I practice on the silent brass from Yamaha, my high notes always seem sharp. I also do altering finger combinations to help me jump from notes that are close together with the same traditional valve selections (in this case I saw you use 1st and 2nd valve for the middle E in order to go to G which is open). There's nothing wrong with doing that unless you are trying out for all-state band in front of a trumpet judge! I was 17 years old (now I'm 60) and I will never forget playing a piece out of the Arban book flawlessly but he struck me a notch or two for playing E with 1st and 2nd. I still look for ways to make playing the trumpet as easy as possible. That being said, I would not have played the high G at the end with 1st and 3rd, and I would have used 3rd valve only for the high A.

Not bad. But sadly there's many people being able to do this now days, so you need to pay more attention on small things noone cared about when Maynard Furgusson played that. You're a little too sharp allways. Just pull that slide a little bit out lmao
Don't have anything else to say. Was perfect except that
