Ultra Rare Retro Computing Prototypes Unboxing & Inspection!!! (NeXTstation & Sinclair ZX Spectrum+)

NeXT NeXTstation prototype and Sinclair ZX Spectrum+ prototype mock-up unboxing & inspection (have a look inside the machines)! Bought on ebay.

The NeXTstation prototype is number 214 and comes from a BSD developer. It came with a brand new keyboard & a used mouse. I had been interested in the NeXT since I first heard about it, but couldn't afford one when it was released. Years later, after meeting my wife, I learned that her cousin Tim Bucher was part of the core development team for the NeXTstation. Small world!

The Spectrum+ mock-up has been bought from the Tedeschi Family in Brighton where late Enrico Tedeschi got this prototype gifted from the Sinclair Archives. It was made under direction of Rick Dickinson, Sinclair's industrial designer. According to Rick Dickinson, this mock-up predates the actual machine by several months and was used for marketing photographs.
