I think something that makes it scary is how her voice sounds so motherly yet so monotone while talking about confusing and unnerving things. Similar to Coralines “other mother”. Some Video Context: This is a short horror film called "Possibly in Michigan", it was made around the 1980's and I have a theory. It was made when cannibalistic murders were more common I think.
