Κανείς δεν ξέρει πόσα δάκρυα έχει μια κουζίνα.

Υπάρχουν στιγμές που δεν φαίνονται στο πάσο. Όπως ένα δάκρυ πίσω από τη σαλάτα. Όταν 70 έγιναν 140 και εσύ έμεινες μόνη να μαγειρεύεις για όλους. Αυτές οι στιγμές δε φαίνονται στον λογαριασμό. Μένουν μέσα σου.
Δεν είναι όλα εικόνες. Είναι και τα Σάββατα που δε βγαίνει ο αριθμός, που λυγίζεις πίσω από μια κατσαρόλα, που η κούραση γίνεται κόμπος στον λαιμό. Και όμως συνεχίζεις. Αυτό σημαίνει να είσαι εδώ.
Ένα δάκρυ δεν είναι αδυναμία. Είναι ένταση. Είναι πίεση. Είναι το βάρος που κουβαλάς όταν αγαπάς κάτι τόσο πολύ που πονάει. Αλλά μένεις. Και σηκώνεσαι. Και μαγειρεύεις.
Η κουζίνα δεν έχει μόνο θερμότητα. Έχει και ανασφάλεια. Πανικό. Και κάποιες φορές, δάκρυα. Όχι από τα κρεμμύδια. Από την ευθύνη. Από την αγάπη που βαραίνει. Από το πόσο πολύ θες να πάνε όλα καλά.
Σε όλους έχει τύχει να λυγίσουν. Και είναι εντάξει. Το θέμα είναι τι κάνεις μετά. Αν μένεις. Αν μαγειρεύεις για 140 αντί για 70. Αν δώσεις παραπάνω από όσα υπολόγιζες. Αυτό μετράει.

No one knows how many tears a kitchen has.
There are moments that don't show up on the pass. Like a tear behind the salad. When 70 became 140 and you were left alone to cook for everyone. Those moments don't show up on the bill. They stay inside you.
It's not all pictures. There are also the Saturdays when the number doesn't add up, when you bend over behind a pot, when fatigue becomes a knot in your throat. And yet you keep going. That's what it means to be here.
A tear is not a weakness. It's intensity. It's pressure. It's the weight you carry when you love something so much that it hurts. But you stay. And you get up. And you cook.
There's more to the kitchen than just heat. There's insecurity. Panic. And sometimes, tears. Not from the onions. From responsibility. From the love that weighs down. From how much you want everything to work out.
Everyone has been known to break. And it's okay. It's what you do next. If you stay. If you cook for 140 instead of 70. If you overpay. That's what counts.
