You can judge an O-Line by how long they can reliably pass protect. Great lines can protect for 3 to 4 seconds. The Pats line can protect for 1.5 to 2 seconds. IT TAKES 1.5 SECONDS TO DROP BACK FROM UNDER CENTER AND GET SET TO THROW. It was idiotic (or sabotage) to put Mac under center for nearly the entire first half vs Dallas.

Here’s the question. 4 games before the trade deadline. Saints, Raiders, Bills, Dolphins. At best that’s 2-2 and you are a seller at the deadline and Bill is done this year. You need to rebuild the entire O Line, impact receiver (s) and a QB in the first 4 rounds. We need a GM who can sell and get some top 120 picks to rebuild this offense. That’s not Bill and it’s coming up in less than 3 weeks.

Mac's Golden Window is from the snap to 1.5 seconds. THAT's when he reads the D-Backs. THAT's what Mack does from the shotgun. Quick reads, quick throws. BUT, from under-center, a QB has his BACK TO THE DEFENSE for 1.5 seconds!!! You need a o-line that can protect for 3 seconds for that to work.
They had Mac under center for almost the entire first half! The game was OVER at halftime!

Know who else can throw off their back foot? Geno. Carr. Purdy. Baker. Pickett. Winston. I mean the list goes on. Yes it’s not fundamental and Mahomes is the only one that seems to do it 15 times a game but they all have the arm strength to get it out. Mac is barely mediocre with his bag of tools.
