Beat the drum to beat NCDs!
On 18-20 October, 2017, WHO and the Presidency of Uruguay are staging the Global Conference on NCDs in Montevideo. The focus of the conference is accelerating all-of-government action to help achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, promote health and achieve Sustainable Development Goal target 3.4, which is to achieve a one-third reduction by 2030 in premature death from NCDs, primarily cardiovascular diseases, cancers, lung diseases and diabetes.
