I was feeling abit down whether if I can even be a Medical Doctor in my late twenties but seeing her stories kinda uplift me. Hopefully, it does for other people here too.

Did my MS degree in occupational therapy when married and childless in my late 20s. Finishing my doctorate now at 61, my three kids all grown and on their own. I could not have done either degree when caring for young kids because I just didn't have the material and emotional support or even the bandwith. Everyone is different. I think it is doable but one needs support of other people, and probably also the ability to function on little sleep!

I'm so hapoy for her. To me her story truly shows that the path to success isn't always the same.

Wow this was really inspiring to me we want a lot of children but I also want to go to medical school and felt I could only do one or the other. Nice to see it’s possible to have both.

I have no kids, and I found med school to be nightmarishly challenging.

It’s true love story. When most marriages completely fall apart with one or two children due to conflicting schedules with job and lack of sleep etc, but all 9 children look healthy and happy! A mission impossible without love. 👏👏👏♥️

Although this story is inspiring – it is also misleading because there is one important piece missing. And that would be comment about student debt. I know a doctor who has been in practice for 10 years and is STILL paying on student debt. Additionally, I do not buy the fact that you can be a mother to 9 children and work through medical school. Of course we all are beyond impressed and wish her success. I am just saying ... something does not compute.
