I spent 3 months in Mysuru and tried to learn as much Kannada as I could. I found that when I went to Bangalore, the locals expected to me to speak Hindi, and were very pleased to hear me speak Kannada. I'm from the UK. My favourite word is An-Chick-a-Cherry (written phonetically) which means Post Office right?
