We’ve been seeing more and more Chinese made smart phones showing up on our teardown table lately. Back in May we saw the Huawei P9 which scored a respectable 7 out of 10 on our repairability scale, and now we have the latest entry from Meizu, the MX6. With it’s all metal unibody, the outsides of the MX6 might remind you of another popular smart phone, but how will it compare on the inside? There’s only one way to find out and that’s to tear it down.

Thank you ifixit for doing this tear down video. I am a fan of this company from India and I love their design. Those who doesn't know this company know this, "They are the leading mobile brand in China and they expanded to India and all asain and European countries".

Personally I dont think Pentalobe should be a point of deducting Repairabilty points anymore giving the readily avaliability of a driver

I have question, it is possible to change the camera in phone on different? I would like to change the camera in OnePlus3 on the camera from Oppo R9s Plus. This camera is better she has bigger size sensor (1/2, 3 and 1, 55 pixel size ). But it is will be works?

why is the battery pi-pi instead of li-ion? isnt li-ion better?

Ouch!
I know you don't usually have to take those metal chassis that protects the chips out for repair, but the damage done to the board at 1:58 is either too close to components, or already ripped off some there... xD
Not that anyone will be using it anymore or that it should affect repairability score, but still... ouch! xD
Must've been hard to take that chassis out.
