How do you know when to change your oil? It's always a good idea no matter what car your driving to check the color of your oil! I show you an easy way to do this!

REMEMBER: Always refer to your manufacture recommendations on oil changes and time change intervals.

- White paper towel or napkin
- Gloves ( optional )

pH, moisture condensation & dilution is another reason to change oil ev. 5K miles. It doesn't show up as color change.

Oh my god dude! The job of the oil is to clean the motor. It gets dirty right after the oil change. Forget this video and change your oil somewhere between 3000 and 5000 miles. Always change it at least once a year. Never let it get more than one quart low. Those are the basics.

Nice. Just do it every 5k with full synthetic and you will be sorted. I have over 217, 000 miles on my 2006 Matrix and she runs perfect.

Nope you can run dirty oil for tens of thousands of miles if it chemical make up is still performing and you cant determine that without analysis there is a safe range to continue use of oil AND ITS NEVER HOW IT LOOKS THAT DETERMINES POINT.

Color is the worse indicator for an oil change. It is about TBN, pH, metals... Just change the oil every 5-7K.

Work on camera focus for close ups, its important on videos like this, use manual focus for close ups. JMO. Larry
