When I make my flemmish twist strings I always serve the loops... I serve them by hand not using a jig

Being the happy owner of one of these strings, I can't tell you how satisfied I am with it . Smooth, silent... I shoot every day between 10 to 50 shots. I'm so getting another to have it as a back up, just in case I damage it with a broadhead. Colorwise, my string isn't that fun, black, grey and tan. but boy is it effective!!!!

sounds awesome. I've been building strings for a few years even gave some to friends that needed new strings . Now I don't sell many because, well I hate sitting around trying to sell them. Learned that with my arrows too. Anyway I had tried making multi bundle flemish twist, 3 and 4 bundles and I found the learning curve to be too steep. But I remember as kid my Dad teaching me how to splice loops into ropes . So I started making a cord out of my strings and then back splicing the loops in the end. Recently I've built the main string out of 8125 and the end loops are B55 spliced together. I put it on my sage and got a faster shot than the b 55 strings and smoother than a pure 8125. Next iis to clean up the splices and work on ensuring that the B 55 loops match at both ends as I ended up with an inch more b55 at the bottom than at the top

Crazy that I was just thinking about how to do this this a couple weeks ago with no knowledge it has been done. I have made both endless and Flemish strings for 35 years. And YES you absolutely do twist endless strings before you wrap them for a bunch of important reasons. I came to the conclusion I have to add a set of mini posts to my Flemish Jig so not to transfer. Last, Some of the forgiveness in a Flemish string is stretch in the loops. I wonder how wrapping would change that. Excited to try it. Just had a Flemish string last 2 years of shooting every single day and I could have pushed it longer but winter is a good time to make strings.

I've been making my own strings for years and I've come up with a modification that may be good (it works for me)... I shoot 3 under and it was always a pain to fix my fingers at the correct aim (measuring, estimating, TAB with a ruler attached etc) as I like to shoot with a glove rather than a tab... So I changed colour of the serving material (at a distance, down the serving that was correct for me) to tell me where my fingers should (This is of course subject to draw lengths and draw weights of individual archers) It means that without measuring I can put my fingers at the right place (regarding elevation) just about all of the time...
at 15 M I move my fingers down 3 finger widths .(that's where the change in comes in)
at 20M I move my fingers up half a finger width.
at 25M another half finger width.... etc
this works for me and allows the use of gloves as opposed to tabs.(and allows for different# bows, if an individual archer ''tunes' their own shooting' .

I am sure you did not invent putting a serving on the loops of flemmish strings. I was doing that in the 70s and I was shown how to do it by my grandpa. As a kid and living in a very sandy area the strings would last longer this way but not a anyway thanks for spreading to word to the younger generation, you vedios are very informative

I've been watching your video for awhile now... and enjoy most of them... and I really don't want to sound like a douche, but.. 1) people have been serving flem loops since at least the 60's I was doing it for old timers that asked for it to be done in the 90's... 2) you said endless loops strings don't have twists in them??? Um.. 🙄

Seriously.. just keep making a good product(s) people like... And putting out good videos.. no need to re-"invent" the wheel... 🤷

I might be wrong or missing something but it does not look hard or even innovative as i have served my loops by hand for years. :S
But i guess you found a way to make a jigg to make it faster.
