I don't get why some people are talking shit about this guy making an honest living. He's actually doing respectable work. From what I what I can tell, he's actually creating quality pieces from bottles that were going to be discarded or otherwise unused. And those empty glass bottles are quality glass to begin with. Gotta respect an honest man making an honest living making quality work... he's trying, you know? I always wanted to start my own business.

They are NOT BEER Bottles they are liquor bottles. Great idea. I was a bartender for 10 years. People would buy them.

When I was young, I used to drill holes in whisky and rum bottles, and turn them into bongs. Jack Daniels was a big seller.

Not diamond. Carbide ceramic wheel. Glazier of 26 years here. Not even a primo cutter, 10 for 29 amazon lol. But the fact he is using sub par equipment to feed his family is top notch craftsmanship.

Brilliant idea from 1970! My 86 year old mother used to make those when I was a kid! There was a kit that they sold in the store for a few dollars that would do the same thing.

Ronco sold these on TV in the 70's. I may still have one somewhere.

I do this. Its a pretty nice little hobby. Word to the wise. Invest in clear coat epoxy and a bottle tumbler. Ppl like to keep the labels on. And they can be washed with no issue of label coming off

We've been doing that in South Africa since the 80s. Another tip... remove the outer plastic band around the middle of a 2L plastic cooldrink Coke/Sprite, etc. bottle (don't break it, it has to be whole), put it around a beer/tumbler/tall plain glass, and then place it lengthwise in a container, and pour very hot water over it. The plastic band will shrink tight around the glass, giving you a snazzy drinking glass.

“No customer leave empty handed. Instead they take home discarded beer bottles…”. Good to know he’s not being robbed.

Ronco used to sell something like this on TV back in the 1970s.
