For examples number 3 and 4, my teacher taught me that we can use the first method where you can multiply the first and last term then find its square root and the answer will be the middle term. Then to find the terms beside the middle term, you will use the same method but instead use the middle term as either your first or last term, depending on which term you're looking for. But I can't seem to do it with example number 5? I mean, my answer is not the same as yours. When I use this method, my middle term is 3/2 not negative. Where did I make a mistake?

Edit: my mistake, I forgot that when you use square root the answer can be both positive and negative

Do we always need to consider the positive result in getting the square roots? What about the negative result?

Sir, we should consider + and - when the index of the radical sign is even.
