I had the same problem, then I upgraded it to a 4s battery with a 40 Amp ESC. 4s 1550 50c 152g al the way back for neutral cg, hand launching is a dream, in the air in 2 seconds

Back the battery up ! Nose heavy! and use full throttle

This was my 1st jet. I did the exact same thing. Guessing I was at 75% throttle and tossed at a 52ish degree angle. And.... I added up elevator. (I threw out the window everything I had learned over 5 years in the sport because it was a jet)
After I bent the nose, the 2nd toss went better. I went with my college final exam strategy- “Fu&@ it, full throttle, full speed ahead.” Even with the bent nose it flew great once it climbed out.
I cheated. I put an Admiral 600sp receiver with gyro and stability. But it got me comfortable flying a jet. That first day I was flying at 60% 40% expo. Now the rates are 90%/30%. (Where I fly prop driven)
The ArrowsRC Viper is one of my all time favorites. I now have 3. One never leaves my truck. If I see a vacant field or big parking lot, I’m flying! LOL!

I would a 3 axis gyro while you learn .... They cheap and help alot x

Not enough throttle my friend and try not to throw the plane pitched up so high. I've been having the same issue launching my viper and have found what works is full throttle and a good hard throw about 20degress pitch up. Good luck and hope it helps you as did for me. One great thing is it's a tough little bird and withstandsl the nose dives well.

Id get someone else to launch it . Best thing to have is full control during hand launching Same thing happened to my viper except my entire front broke in two and the wingspar mounts buckled . It actually flies well if you get it in the air for 30 seconds i’m thinking of expoxying my umx turbotimber’s landing gear underneath for nice rolling takeoffs

What' s going wrong with you? The Viper ist an absolutely wonderful plane. I have done so much flights with
