I predicted this nearly a decade ago as soon as I saw ISIS start using these cheap commercial drones for kamikaze strikes like this and everyone thought I was stupid for mentioning shotguns as a solution to this kind of threat because they automatically assumed I was talking about shooting down multi-million dollar surveillance and precision strike drones that Western countries were using so heavily at the time. Back then barely anyone had heard of cheap commercial drones being used like this unless they were closely following the war in Syria, the idea just hadn't occurred to most people until it was being applied all over the world.
