You should visit Eilat! If you are a diver, this place has some fantastic diving. If you like to snorkel, you can snorkel with dolphins! If you want to go shopping, you can visit any of the tax free malls. There is convenient transportation to Dead Sea by bus, or to Jerusalem also by bus.
The city is a bit expensive, but it's worth it for at least 2-3 days. You can fly on budget airline Ryanair to OVDA airport which is about 1 hour away by shuttle.
