Man Risks Life to Save Truck Driver Trapped in Flooding

It was in Conroe, Texas, on May 28, 2024, that a daring rescue occurred. A man, together with his girlfriend, managed to extract another man from a drainage ditch after his pickup truck got stuck in the rising waters. #rescue #flood #flooding #shorts #texas

Witness Ashley Young described the frantic moment, "You could see the guy hitting the windshield, and the water was so high. It had to have been chest-deep. He was a big guy, too. The panic was visible; he was just waving frantically."

Good Samaritan Chance recounted the harrowing rescue: "The truck was starting to lift, because the water was rushing into the bed of the truck. I approached from the front since the back was filling up rapidly, making the front the driest part at the time."

The rescued man, although shaken, was not injured. His immediate concern after the incident was getting home where a tree had fallen on his daughter's car.

Saving a life feels good. When i was about 10 years old i saved a kid from drowning who was about 6 years old. We were in a public pool and his Mom was reading a book, & the life guards were talking and nobody noticed him go under but me, i was actually far away and not in the pool. I ran accross the yard & dove down to him and lifted him out. I guess the commotion of me running & diving got everyone's attention because they started coming, by time i brought him up.

He swallowed water and they had to start CPR but he started coughing it out almost immediately. His Mom was crying and hugging me. It felt great to help & it's something you never forget.

Had i not been there at the right time & place, who knows what might have happened? Just like the Hero in this video, right time & place & the right guy with the right tool, its probably not a coincidence.
