There's a guy with a dubious ICT qualification on one of my local selling sites who's just started hawking himself as a "top coder". He's trying to drum up interest in starting coding groups for the kids who are getting these Micro Bits.

His Facebook profile has more than its fair share of sex and adult related jokes and comments. He could be legit, but my spidey-sense started tingling like crazy.

And kids will get together and figure out how to do kewl stuff with it, encouraging some to move forward and get electrical engineering degrees. Brilliant. I've always wished heath kits and hobby boards were available.

I don't imagine this working well on underpowered school computers using "Internet Explorer", or as I like to call it; Bloatware Ahoy.

Probably won't take off well, when I was in year 7 (although I regret it now) I didn't care, I didn't pay attention in school and sort of counted the time left til I got to go home again and play on my PS2, if year 7's now have that same attitude, then it most likely won't be a huge success

The school system as of here right now in the US is bullshit! I never learned coding in my school ever (yet)!

As of right now in highschool, they wont prepare me for the rest of 21st century!

I hate this current school system! >:(
