West Coast USA map is the most dense and detailed map in BeamNG, and it's also the setting for the upcoming career mode. In this video, we'll take a look at the map's history, and even find some hints at a possible expansion! 👀

I’d love to have an airport, even if there are no planes yet. That way you can do Shuttle Routes and taxi transport between hotels, bus hubs, train stations, etc. (In America, I know Italy would be an exception.
If they don’t update the map, I hope there will be another city map in development, I was hoping Johnson Valley would have a 4 lane interstate for lots of driving, but was definitely an off-road only update.

San Amaro, Casilda Beach, Spearleaf Island and Mount Wallis are definily locations that we need to see in the game, Spearleaf Island could have a small town like in Yerba Buena and maybe expansion to the bridge to a fictional version of Oakland. Also nice video!

I remember seeing an expanded map of West Coast, USA back when a BeamNG dev was hosting some conference. I know they want to expand it.

I always found it strange because there was a police car from Belasco City, but there isn't that city in the game.

There was a video of development of the map. The dev first idea was much bigger. But for limitation at the time its shorted a lot. Thats why is that roadblock in the city and on highway. If you go free cam an look from the top you can see how far the map was planed at first.

One problem with your Casilida Beach theory: The sign states that Casilida Beach is 74 miles south of Belasco. So unless the devs are either going to make a 70+ mile long map or scale 74 miles down a fuck ton, that ain't gonna happen.

I also noticed that some scaffolding(?) was added to the police station in the most recent updates.Perhaps improvements to it could be in store for the future?

Would be cool if the devs added Central USA, like Texas, Colorado, North, and South Dakota since we have east and west coast USA, and would be cool if we get a Mexican and or South American based map.

I am sure the devs would love to expand it. But the larger the map is the worse the performance get. With these proposals the maps would have to quadruple at least. Not sure how well would that play. The only hope is if the engine goes throught a huge overhaul of how it handles and loads in terrain. But I can't see that happening any time soon. But we can still hope I guess. Maybe they are preparing a surprise. Especially since the last two updates were on the smaller side and also included only car related things, which probably get done by a different internal team and engine related things are done by a different set of people. Well fingers crossed something like that is at least getting considered, I've got all the time in the world.

if italy is like more than twice of WCUSA's size then there's no excuse to make the map much bigger. hoping we'll get some sort of expansion in the next update (s)
