Tempers flare over mask mandates in schools

The debate over masks in schools is refusing to go away, even as cases surge across the country. Shouting at school boards, confrontations in parking lots, and in one case, an elementary teacher ending up with stitches. CNN's Rosa Flores reports.

Here in Australia, masks are mandated for everytime you step outside the house. Even in a non-lockdown period, masks are mandatory at school. As a teacher, I am fully vaccinated and still wear a mask because the students I teach are vulnerable and cannot get a vaccine. Parents: are you going to fight school uniforms next? Seat belts? Masks affect learning?? I'm a teacher - lockdowns and getting Covid affect their learning far more.

The school my grandson goes to had a mask mandate last year. They had a full year of in school learning without having to shut the school down even 1 day. He was 7 years old in the second grade and he said he had no problem having to wear a mask. He acts more mature than these adults that are crying about their children having to wear mask to school.

Here's a crazy idea, if parents don't like the school rules: homeschool.

Don't want to wear masks in stores: don't shop there; (do online shopping or curbside pickup)

Parents don't want their kids to wear a mask, pull them from the institution. You don't have to have your kid go their. Options are available. Homeschooling

you would think a parent would want to protect there child. kinda makes you think that the antimaskers not wanting there child to wear a mask is borderline child abuse.

Scott claiming that parents are being told to sit down and shut up and that they're not allowed to express an opinion is gaslighting. He repeats it 4-5x. We have all seen videos of these parents clearly expressing their opinions no matter how loony. So Republicans are going with victimhood again.

There was a man on a cliff hellbent on jumping and ending his life. Another man tried his best to dissuade him. He pleaded and threatened and bribed and even berated him of his lack of responsibility to his family and friends. In the end, the man jumped anyway and in a last ditch effort, the Good Samaritan reached out to try to grasp the falling man’s hands only lead him to misstep and tumble down the cliff alongside the suicidal man.

Some people just don’t care. And if you care too much they just drag you down in the end.

Me? I’ll reason three times or for 3 minutes. Then I let him jump if he wants to.
