Letter strokes are the basic units for printing letters

Each letter is written by combining two or more strokes in succession. Well learned, fluently written letters are produced by a rapid pre-planned movement that does not require visual monitoring.
To identify the strokes produced, the system will first classify the strokes into three categories, which are (a) simple straight lines, (b) curve, and (c) complex straight lines.
Build words one letter at a time, one stroke at a time. The secret is that calligraphy is an art that requires you to create single strokes, which you connect to form letters and words.
