Similar experience with my 720g, did manage to squeeze out c500m on a very clear day but with camera ceasing at c200m or so

You may need to re-orient your antennas to get better signal and further range. Try pointing your antennas downward toward the ground so that they arent immediately behind your phone while atill oriented perpendciular to the drone. Also angle the antenna slightly slanted like an upside down "V" so that you get some horizontal polarization rather than purely vertical polarization. Antenna diversity (pointing them at different angles) is improtant to increase signal range and strength.

Looks like a decent gimbal and video but of course wifi is the limit. I had a Parrot Disco drone wing with a conversion to 4G connection with unlimited range.

Pulled up this video after a disappointing experience where the max distance I could achieve was 300 meters. Looks like that’s all I’m going to get in a residential area. Bummer. Thought I’d get 999 meters. I would settle for 700. But 300?

The distance should include the elevation component. So closer to 400m.

I have not been able to get mine to go past 1000 ft or basically 300m.
Im assuming if anything it could go farther in the middle of nowhere with no electronic or radio interference. But anywhere else, 1000 ft is the cap.

These things are garbage. Just go with the cheapest DJI you can get and it's already 20x better than these pieces of crap
