Using BTCRecover with Litecoin Addresses (Seed Phrase Recovery For Ledger, Trezor, Keepkey)

This video looks at how you can use BTCRecover if you have Litecoin public addresses. (The version of BTCRecover used in previous videos only supported Bitcoin addresses)

If you are new to Crypto, my suggestion is that you start with buying ~$150 worth of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin @ Coinbase and get familiar with storing it, moving it around, etc.

By sticking with large, reputable exchanges for your first purchase (Coinbase) and first trade (Binance) you can avoid getting scammed right at the start by purchasing a non-existing coin off a scammy exchange. (You would be surprised how many people fall into this trap)

Don't have a hardware wallet?
Be safe and buy them direct from the manufacturer. (Not just through some random on eBay, Amazon, etc)
(If you are just starting out, I would just recommend a Ledger Nano S)

Important Notes to Start...
⦁ Don't ignore warnings about the security of your recovery environment, these are covered in my other videos
⦁ You will need your 24 word seed (Even if it has errors)
(You can't just derive a private key from a public key)
⦁ You will need to know at least one public address that you used with the wallet...

Pease I'm depress about what is going on please it looks like no one is telling me what to do. this is what happen, I mistakenly send BCH from my nano s wallet to the litecoin wallet on the same nano s . what should i do to get the BCH back because is not in my BCH wallet or LItecoin wallet. can somebody please help me out I'm begging to loose my mind seriously.

Ok so my head is spinning just a bit, So BTC recover is a programme that can identify which seed word is incorrect. But how does it back track to find the wrong word? does it vary words slightly to identify which could be the correct seed phrase?


I assume this is useful if the user has attempted to enter a seed phrase that keep coming up as an empty wallet.
It should be up to the user to keep their hand writing clean.


On another topic, the derivation path is what funnels the addresses to be either a 1 or a bc1 or an L or 3 etc.

Hi and thanks a lot for your video I have some questions, about my ledger nano s that I have some issues with right now. If I totally reset my ledger removed keys, passwords and everything. Would it be possible to start it as a new device. And another question. I have managed to get 4 different 24 words recovery phrases witch one of them should i use? Maybye I just can bye a new ledger nano s or a ledger nano x?

Hi! Nice videos. I am in trouble as well. :) First of all when running on a seedrecover.py on Mac, it says "macOS 11 or later required". But I have the latest Mac 11.1 Big Sur. Second question: I need seedrecover.py right? I have the 12-word and maybe a password, but I can not import my Copay wallet. Thanks!
