The goal of turning to green energy is a noble one and the benefits far outweigh any economic costs (stop subsidizing oil and renewables are very competitive). Why people reject the idea of a cleaner planet with less garbage, oil spills, waste, and dealing with shady countries (Saudi Arabia) is something I can not comprehend.

Climate change is definitely a thing and obviously humans contribute, but the supposed consensus of 97% includes ppl who don't think ppl are the main contributors to it and lots of ppl were also left out of the "consensus."
