Color Symbolism

Colours have meanings.

As a society, we have learnt to associate certain things with certain colours, be they emotions, objects or even abstract ideas. Blue reminds us of the sky and water, the colour green makes us think of plants, trees and nature. They can create different moods and atmospheres. Colours can be symbolic and can have both positive and negative connotations. Red, for example, is the colour of love, but it’s also the colour of anger and rage.

Advertisers, graphic designers, artists and filmmakers all know this and use it to their advantage when creating an advertisement, logo, painting or film. The choice of colour can subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) influence your response one way or the other. This is color theory.

This is pretty good considering its briefness.

This video was really helpful for me. There were a lot of things I didn't know so thank you for making it 😄😄

This is a great video, however, the narration is off. Is there just a lag on my computer? I was hoping to show this to my class and share it with my colleagues.
