【About my channel】
　This is a travel video channel in which I, videographer Kazuma Arima, combine what I call "static video expression," a form of expression I feel most resonates with my own particular sensibilities with a realistic first-person perspective that makes you feel as if you have really been there yourself. I will introduce you to various travels that certainly pique your curiosity.

－What is static video expression? －

“Something, simply beautiful, as it is.”

　When I look at recent trends in works from video creators, the world seems captivated by the so-called “cinematic” form of expression in which moving images are captured in the form of a log, and then graded, with flashy effects added, so that everyday life is portrayed in a dynamic way. It is undoubtedly the case that with flashy effects and transitions, presentations can be expressed in a cool, dynamic, and spectacular way. Personally, I am a fan of such works. However, I believe that there is another form of expression that can draw out images with true beauty and depth. One way of doing this is through static video expression.
　My goal is nothing less than ultimate beauty. Cameras and lenses are the culmination of human endeavor in optical technology, and by maximizing the performance of cameras and lenses, images are projected as is, and with the latest technology in terms of high image quality. This does not include overly flashy expression. Even the camera work is kept to a minimum, and the presence or absence of movement is left up to the subject. With the belief that it is minimalism that draws out the true beauty and depth of the images, I have called it “static video expression” to distinguish it from dynamic cinematic expression. This video, which exists halfway between a set of photos or a video, may, at first glance, appear to be nothing more than a succession of beautiful images without a story. However, there is no doubt that they draw out something from the viewer. Whether this is the simply an emotional reaction to its beauty, a sense of healing, or some deeper meaning, depends on you.
