Fake Lego Week Day 7!
MA SPOON IS TOO BIG. And also my minifigs!
Poundland take us on a journey to the land of the giants with these super chunky giant figures. Based on their own 100% original super heroes, which is nice. Plus we've got a C-3PO knock off so bad it made my leg hurt, so that's nice.

They've clearly just scaled up the sizes in whichever CAD software they've used to design them, and in the process also increased the tolerance between parts by the same ratio, causing too much slop in the joints, causing them to pop out.

So interesting bit here - from what is (presumably) a Chinese company, the "good guys" rifles are very clearly a Vietnam era M-16 rifle from the US and some sort of modernized AK-series, probably a 100-series, obviously Russian, whereas the "bad guy" has what would appear to be some variation on the Chinese QBZ-97.

I love how they came up with three legally distinct superhero names but then they did "night wing" for faux batman which I am sure DC would have something to say about.

Yes, I too remember the part in Rise of Skywalker where C3PO comes and Saves the Day on his skateboard and blasts Emperor Palpatine to oblivion. It was the best part of the movie!

There's only one villain because it wouldn't be fair otherwise, since the villain can hold his rifle without his arm falling off immediately.

"Maintain world peace, fight for justice" is Darth Maul's catchphrase.

Theory: they scaled up the tooling for the injection moulding without shrinking down the tolerances causing the loose arms.

those bigfig minifigs look great for doing perspective camera tricks! Almost everyone knows how big they expect them to be. Add it with some dollhouse furniture and you could do some fun things....

The Mystery's wig appears to be an exact match for an existing Lego hair piece, like many of the body parts for the more Lego-like figures.

I got one of these big figures from Poundland and the big weapons that it came with could perfectly fit into a regular Lego minifigure. So if you want your minifigures to have giant anime style swords, I highly recommend grabbing these for the weapons alone XD

This has been a great week. Ashens every day, it’s like Christmas has come early! Need to remember about day 8 on Patreon, I always forget about the vids on there! 😅

Well it's a plasma rifle Ashens! DUH! ... Never mind that an actual ball of plasma fired from a gun would be so hot that it would burn him when firing it - but it just works damn it! LOL

they could paint C-3PO silver and get rid of the star wars branding and have a decent silver surfer knockoff figure

He ripped that C3PO out of that package like it owed him money and was late on the payment.

ashens the legend. The only YouTuber who hasn't changed style over the years. Mad respect bro. And thanks for all the laughs over the years. Much love from Wales.

i love that in their attempt to come up with an alternative batman name it still ended up being an existing character

They're actually doing some exciting stuff in China with Lego compatible bricks and minifigures. They're not just doing straight knock offs, they're doing Minifigures the Lego can't / won't ever do, and truly huge moc sets much more intricate than anything Lego has ever released. Sure there's plenty of cheap rubbish, but if you know what to look for, there's some unique and very decent quality lego compatible stuff coming out of China. Probably brought to you by child labor

Lego used to sell minifigs of that size in the mid 00s, but they had a flashlight function. (LEDs in the feet)

Oversized figures probably blur the line into "action figures" which they likely have licensing agreements not to make of most IPs. I recall reading about it somewhere as a reason they didn't (at the time) sell standalone figures.
