In February 2008, Colombia signed a deal with the Israeli government for an additional 24 ex-IAF Kfir aircraft. It was estimated that these aircraft will most probably be upgraded by Israel Aerospace Industries to C.10 standard. In June 2009, IAI delivered the first batch of upgraded Kfirs to the FAC. This was a part of a multi-year contract awarded in late 2007 and worth over $150 million to upgrade the existing Colombian Air Force Kfirs, and to supply additional jets. The additional Kfir jets, models C.10-C.12, have been upgraded and improved to include IAI's latest technologies and products. On November 1, 2013, two FAC IAI Kfirs intercepted Russian Air Force Tu-160s that had entered Colombian airspace. The Russian aircraft had taken off from Simón Bolívar International Airport Venezuela. On October 10, 2017, FAC IAI Kfirs were updated with the EL/M 2052 AESA Radar and incorporated the I-Derby-ER Active Air to Air Missile and the Python-5 Air to Air Infrared Missile. As of 2019, 23 FAC IAI Kfirs remain in service.

Ojalá le hicieran el cambio de motor. Eso es lo que hizo que sus operadores lo dejarán de usar. Un turbofan norteamericano y como alternativa un turbofan francés hubieran permitido tener este caza en servicio más tiempo, pero eso habría sido bueno hace 10~15 años, no ahora.

Cuando hubo el problema en Colombia de este avión, fue que una industria de Colombia hizo la revisión de los motores, no iai de Israel eso les costó 3 aviones y tampoco compraron los radares Elta 2025, Israel es una potencia en tecnología y en todas las áreas del saber humano 2:40

The pilot says "at the same level as the F16" but that is not quite true. The "kfir" is faster and reaches a higher sig-rom (altitude) than the F16 and, in addition, turns stronger and faster. And according to what you said before, there is the possibility of adjustments to Elbit's F35 helmet. That makes the Kfir a machine on a completely different level
