In this lecture we discuss Cauchy problems for linear homogeneous, linear non-homogeneous, and quasi-linear first-order partial differential equations with more than two independent variables. Correction at 25:10, bottom of the middle board, parenthesis in the ``blue'' formula must read as V(Xo, u0(Xo)). The ``green'' formula is (V(Xo, u0(Xo), f(Xo, u0(X0)).
