Mould can definitely have a negative impact. As an example, the basement where I live was full of it. Just one minute down there would leave me feeling like I had a fever. Another time, I opened a packet of seeds which had got wet. A cloud of mould came out, and almost instantly I felt horribly depressed. It was so obviously caused by the mould exposure.

I've been living in England for 13years. Every single home I visited there was full of black mould due to the humidity and condensation. I suffered chronic cold for all the 13 years. Suddently when I came back to Italy it disappeared. Now, I don't say it was the mould, but if in a home there is black mould in the bathroom or enywhere else, well that's not a healthy home.

I don't blame mold for any long term issues but am deathly allergic to black mold. In it's presence I go into anaphylactic shock and without a dose of Benadryl I may have died a few times.

In the early 2000’s I lived in the basement of an old house that the previous tenant had used for a clandestine weed growing operation and most of the walls and ceilings were completely covered in black mold - I lived amongst this black mold for 2-3 years and never got sick apart from a normal seasonal “cold” detox the same as anywhere else I’d lived. If I'm in an area with mold it makes me feel dizzy and give me somewhat of a headache, but I wouldn't know if that'd truly affect me negatively.

My mom slept in a room filled with mold for years and she's fine so I guess it's the smell that makes us this way temporarily.

I live in an area with lots of mold. Some seem more affected then others. Life is mysterious. Use your direct experience to guide your choices. If you feel sick in moldy are and better away listen. If you feel fine in moldy areas then don't join the choir of mold issues just enjoy your life

Funny you should say that, because I stayed in a house Italy and when the winter came all the rooms were covered from head to foot in mould. It was living behind the paint. I nearly freaked out but something told me it want going to harm me. I got no illness no respiratory symptoms nothing.

But there are a whole host of fungal infections that have names, athletes foot, etc.
